UNDER CONSTRUCTION

This project was for a porch covering and balcony expansion in Sonoma County. The existing home had a beautiful raised patio area that faced south, but would get so hot in the summertime it was barely usable. The sun would beat down on the patio and reflect up through the windows on that side of the house causing a lot of unnecessary heat gain. The porch covering provides much-needed respite from the sun and we also installed Phantom Screens and turned the enclosure into a "California Room", so the area can be used nearly year-round.

The existing home is a beautiful Tuscan style home design by James McCalligan in 2005. However, the southern-facing porch got too hot in the Sonoma sun.

The project was constructed by Jon Ballard Construction, who did a great job of coordinating all the many trades required to complete the project.

The finished project turned out fantastic and we believe it's a great way to enjoy the indoor/outdoor living style of the Bay Area.
